Lucky's Souvlakis

Lucky's Souvlakis sits on the main pedestrian street through Fira, a few steps from the bus station, and has been grilling gyros and souvlaki to order for roughly 25 years. It's the classic cheap-eats stop on an island better known for cliffside dining: pork or chicken wrapped in pita with tomato, onion, tzatziki and fries, served fast over the counter rather than plated. Locals and staff from nearby shops queue alongside tourists, and prices have stayed close to what an island resident would pay.
